Doris Hsu has secured the title „EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year“. In the June 8 election in Monaco, Hsu, Chairwoman and CEO of GlobalWafers Co., Ltd. against the competition from 45 countries.
dr Joachim Kuhn, CEO of va-Q-tec AG, represented Germany in the competition. Last year in Germany he was awarded the „EY Entrepreneur Of The Year“ award in the „Innovation“ category.
Doris Hsu is a visionary entrepreneur with a great passion for innovation and sustainability. For more than a decade she has been the driving force behind the meteoric rise of GlobalWafers. She led a series of successful mergers and acquisitions that transformed the company’s product portfolio and expanded its operations into Europe. In 2015, Hsu successfully floated GlobalWafers and today the company is the third largest wafer manufacturer in the world.
